Gogglebox stars Pete and Sophie are well-used to making Channel 4 viewers laugh on the regular and tonight was no different. The pair were trying on their new costumes for an upcoming fancy dress party and it certainly caught fans of the show off guard.
While off-camera, the pair seemed to have a bit of an argument about which Spice Girl they were going to be.
Pete could be heard saying he wasn’t too happy about having to be Ginger Spice – Geri Horner.
Sophie had a very simple explanation for the result, telling her brother it’s because he has a small physique.
“The outfit come in a size eight and you’re the only one with a smaller body,” she exclaimed.
Another added: “Pete @Petesandiford dressed as Ginger Spice has made my Friday night #Gogglebox.”

“Still think #Gogglebox is one of the funniest things on TV. Love Pete and Sophie. #GingerSpice,” said a fourth.
A fifth commented: “PETE AS GINGER SPICE IS BRILLIANT.”
Last week, Gogglebox star Mary branded the Luxembourg Prime Minister a “nasty hypocrite” for mocking Boris Johnson.
The Channel 4 show was discussing the week’s news, paying particular attention to a press conference between Xavier Bettel and the Prime Minister of the UK.
As many will remember, anti-Brexit protesters and demonstrators created so much havoc on the day Boris called off his appearance.
However, Mary wasn’t happy with the whole thing and made her comments known.
Speaking about Boris’s lack of appearance, Xavier said the decision “was all on Mr Johnson”, before making a joke about the empty podium next to him.
Mary swiped: “Nasty little hypocrite.”
Her husband, Giles, added that he liked him, but Mary snapped back: “No.”
Gogglebox airs Fridays on Channel 4 at 9pm.
