Gary Barlow forced to apologise after 'lazy' mishap leaves fan with 'Gay' wrist tattoo

During last night’s ITV special An Evening With Take That, Natasha, a fan of the band, confronted Gary, 46, with the unfortunate inking.

She asked him if he remembered signing her wrist with a Sharpie a few months previously.

The Rule The World singer responded: “Yeah… you didn’t get it tattooed, did you?”

Natasha revealed that she had, before holding out her arm to reveal the tattoo, which read “Gay” instead of Gary.

Examining his artwork, he explained: “Oh goodness, I think I remember saying to you ‘please don’t get that tattooed’.

“I’m embarrassed to say I was feeling lazy that day and I just wrote ‘Gay’.”

“But I made up for it because I put a kiss underneath. I don’t do that very often,” he added in his defence.

Gary agreed to make up for the funny mistake by adding something else to the tattoo.

Bandmate Mark Owen cheekily suggested that maybe an “R” would be appropriate.

Gary and Mark were also joined by final member Howard Donald for the one-off TV show, which saw the group perform their best hits to a studio audience.
