Game of Thrones hero Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) is about to battle the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) in the upcoming episode.
It’s tipped to be a bloodbath as pretty much all the main characters prepare to go to war which they are significantly outnumbered by.
However, the fact the Winterfell army isn’t as big as the Night King’s doesn’t really make too much of a difference as Jon’s fate was sealed long ago.
One eagle-eyed fan on Reddit spotted a clue from Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) which seems to confirm a victory for the living is on the way.
In season two, episode seven, Theon plotted to take Winterfell and realised the fort was going to be a tough one to conquer.
He told his team some words of advice previous Northern lord Ned Stark (Sean Bean) told him.
Then said: “500 men could hold Winterfell against 10,000.”
It goes without saying the Night King has a bigger army and also the potential for a huge force.
He can raise the dead, meaning he has an infinite bunch of warriors at his disposal.
Nevertheless, Winterfell is not only sturdy: it’s prepared.
Throughout season eight, episode two, Jon and his own army got themselves prepared for the finale.
They built up some defences and practised their sword skills.

Meanwhile, it seems a new theory has emerged suggesting Theon will kill Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright).
Bran is about to be used as bait for the Night King as it was revealed in the last episode it’s he who the villain is after.
While Bran sits at the weirwood trees, he will be guarded by Theon, but he might actually find himself killed by the Iron Born.
One Reddit user believes the Three-Eyed Raven will be turned into a White Walker and while still having his bewitching powers, will actually turn out to be more powerful than the Night King.
cabtx wrote: “Bran has a master plan and he is going to start putting it into action in episode three when he arranges to have Theon turn him into a White Walker at the werwolf in Winterfell.
“With powers of green sight, AND the vast knowledge of the Three Eyed Raven, Bran could turn into a White Walker with the same powers of the Night King.
“In fact, he may be able to be more powerful than the Night King.”
