The hit HBO show will begin production next month and now it has been revealed they are casting for two actors to fill brand new roles.
The description states they are on the lookout for children to audition and the notice has dropped a huge clue about what fans can expect.
According to fansite Watchers on The Wall, the first role is for a “straight-talking” Northern Girl who is around eight-years-old.
They wrote: “The role is described as being a straight-talking Northern-accented girl, someone remarkable for her dauntlessness and integrity.
“She’s been brought up in a family of soldiers and shares their fearlessness. The part is said to be a ‘very nice stand-out part for a strong-minded young girl with a fighting spirit’.”
The part sounds very familiar to no-nonsense Lyanna Mormont (played by Bella Ramsey) who is known for her decisive leadership and stern manner.
Perhaps the character will be a relative of the Lady of Bear Island or one of the young girls who has been training to fight the army of the dead in the North.
Game of Thrones is also searching for a boy aged between eight and 12 who will fill a role playing someone from a “poor background”.
The fansite said the boy needs to have “a physically fit and agile look, someone with a good, distinctive face.”
They reported the notice said: “He’s described as being from a poor background, a boy who has to fight to make his way in the world.
“The description we saw mentions that they need an actor who can ‘completely own the scenes that he appears in’.”
The description hints the youngster will be starring in multiple scenes and as it doesn’t note the boy has to be Northern, he may be from King’s Landing.
With his poor background it’s most likely he will be popping up in the capital and could even be another one of King Robert Baratheon’s bastard children.
Game of Thrones season eight is expected to return to screens in 2019.
