Game of Thrones season 7 spoiler: Was penultimate episode predicted in SEASON TWO?

Some viewers already know what will happen in this week’s continuation thanks to a leak in Spain, but one fan has gone as far as to claim the episode links back to season two.

Reddit user Sephelutis noted that the finale episode of the second season, in which Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) had vivid visions of the future in the House of the Undying, is the vital key that holds all the clues.

The instalment saw three infant dragons stolen by warlock Pyat Pree (Ian Hanmore) who wanted to imprison all four because it would seemingly make his magic powers stronger.

Daenerys first realised that they could breathe fire, and Pree became their first ever victim in the 2012 episode.

However, it is the visions that she had while searching the tower beforehand that has caused years of speculation.

Now it seems one eagle-eyed fan has figured out the connection, titling his Reddit post: “Next week, Dany will fulfil last bit of her vision in the house of undying.”

Daenerys stood in the decimated Red Keep with snow falling through the roof during the early vision.

About to touch the Iron Throne, she was distracted and pulled away due to the cries of a young dragon.

The fan stated: “She wanted to stay with Drogo and her unborn son, but a young dragon’s cry pulled her away, when she leave the tent she suddenly end up at the wall.

“Conquest was never her purpose, there is a Young dragon out there in grave danger, he must live, and only she can save him, her true purpose has been this all along.”

His theory also states that the “young dragon is Jon Snow” (Kit Harington) and that Daenerys does not realise that he is her Targaryen-blooded nephew.

continues on HBO this Sunday in the US and will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic on Monday at 2am. Catch up on seasons one to seven on NOW TV.
