Flight attendant reveals secret about passengers who order fizzy drinks on a plane

Flight attendants, over the years, have revealed many of the untold secrets of the job.

From the dirtiest places to the worst passengers, many frequent fliers would be shocked to hear some of the stories.

A recent story has emerged about passengers who order fizzy drinks on a plane, in particular Diet Coke.

Cabin crew had a clever way to get around the problem of the fizzing bubbles back in the day.

Sandy Stein, a flight attendant for over 30 years, revealed how annoying it is for passengers to order a diet coke.

She explained to AlterNet how there is no easy way to pour it: “You can pour it on the side of the cup, you can pour it straight to the bottom of the cup, but it never matters.

“It fizzes up and it takes at least four times as long to pour than a regular—and might I add—delicious Coke.

“It ranks right up there with making a cup of tea.”

Yet back in the day, they had a way to get around the problem, explaining how adding a Sprite could help it to pour.

The ex-Delta flight attendant revealed: “No one was the wiser. You got to do what you got to do when you are on a plane.”

Thankfully this isn’t something they would be able to get away with anymore.

She also isn’t the first flight attendant to complain about the Diet Coke problem, with many over the years stating it is the worst drink to order.

Flight attendants get their own back at bad passengers in a number of ways, as revealed by a cabin crew member.

Ignoring them is one way as well as being passive-aggressive.

Of course, they aren’t allowed to be outwardly rude, according to an anonymous worker on Vice.

Yet they did admit they did small acts such as “not giving them their orange juice with ice or giving it to them with ice if they asked for no ice”.
