Fifty Shades Darker news: Jamie Dornan’s ex co-star Gillian Anderson snubs sexy sequel

The X-Files legend was asked about the recently-released erotic drama last night at the premiere for her own new film, Viceroy’s House.

Asked if she’s seen it yet, she chose her words carefully as she confirmed that she’s dodged it so far.

“I have not seen it,” she admitted.

“But I saw that it was out. I saw a poster on the side of a bus.”

Asked if she and Dornan are still in touch, she nodded: “Yep, we’re still in touch.”

Mark Wahlberg, it seems, is also not a fan of the Fifty Shades films, based on EL James’ novels.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he recalled: “My wife wanted to see it. Not my choice.

“I took a picture of the marquee behind me to see if I could get brownie points for being a husband who’d sit through a movie like that.”

Probed on whether he’d ever appear in the trilogy, Wahlberg insisted: “No, no!”

Fifty Shades has been unanimously slated by critics and last week it was even rumoured that its star, Dornan, was less than a fan.

Speculation started when ITV daytime host Lorraine Kelly called the books “rubbish”, adding that: “He knows they’re rubbish.”

Fifty Shades Darker is out now.
