Emmerdale: Will Emma Barton’s killer secret be EXPOSED by Laurel Thomas?

Last year, Emma (played by Gillian Kearney) admitted to Ashley (John Middleton) that she had killed her husband James Barton (Bill Ward) when she pushed him off the bridge which resulted in an huge car pile-up.

She ended up manipulating the former vicar – who was suffering from dementia – and confused him him until he became distressed.

But unbeknownst to the pair, their conversation had been recorded as Ashley’s camera was still rolling from when he was making home videos for his family to watch after he passed away.

And in last night’s episode, Emmerdale fans thought Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) was going to find out Emma’s secret as she flicked on the television after Ashley’s father Sandy (Freddie Jones) had been watching videos that his son made.

One viewer posted on Twitter: “I can’t be the only one who was waiting for the scene of Emma harassing Ashley to play, damn I’m disappointed #emmerdale.”

“Was hoping it was the video that Ashley made where deranged Emma enters the room… time she got her comeuppance me thinks. #emmerdale,” said another.

A third fan begged: “But PLEASE let Laurel discover the footage of Emma with Ashley. PLEASE. And soon!!! #Emmerdale.”

“Wonder when she’ll find the video of Emma Barton trying to confuse Ashley over her being on the bridge & killing James #ByeAshley #emmerdale,” added another.
