In tonight’s instalment of Emmerdale, it was revealed that Joseph (played by Ned Porteous) knows Liv’s (Isobel Steele) solicitors.
Liv is set to appear in court next week after she spiked Lisa Dingle’s drink with ketamine.
Her solicitor has ensured the youngster and her brother Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) that everything will work out okay.
However, fans have predicted a heartbreaking twist.
After her meeting with Liv and Aaron, the solicitor bumped into Joseph outside.
In a shock turn of events and it was revealed they know one another.
She agreed to go for a coffee with Joseph leading many to believe he will take the opportunity to sabotage Liv’s trial.
Taking to Twitter to comment on storyline, fans predicted trouble for the teen.
“Joe’s gonna screw up liv’s case ain’t he!!!! #emmerdale,” one viewer commented.
Another added: “Oh well of course Joe would have to be friends with Liv’s solicitor #Emmerdale.”
A third shared: “Poor Liv, joe is going to sabotager case that is low even for him #emmerdale.”
“Joe mess with the adults’ lives all you want but leave the kids alone fgs #emmerdale,” someone else wrote.
However some viewers were thrilled with the twist as one wrote: “Joe’s a great antagonist. We need someone to mess things up in the village #Emmerdale #lovetohate.”
Another argued Joe may simply be trying to help, writing: “#Emmerdale and what if Joe is trying to help Liv?”
Unfortunately, it seems Liv will be in trouble with or without Joseph’s meddling.
In upcoming scenes, her solicitor will be called to work on another case at the last minute.
And her solicitors replacement is far from helpful.
He will be unfamiliar with details of the case, even getting her name incorrect.
Furthermore he will bring up her evil father Gordon Livesy.
