Emmerdale spoiler: Viewers confused over shock Nell Fairfax death ‘That was a bit dodgy’

The ITV soap killed off Nell Fairfax’s (played by Scarlett Archer) child off screen as she revealed to Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) that her daughter Rosie died “suddenly” in care.

After a paranoid Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade) accused Nell of spying on her and Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan), after revealing she knew all about their affair, Nell revealed she’d had a meeting with social services over Rosie’s death.

“My little girl’s dead and it’s all my fault,” she broke down to Jai.

However, Emmerdale fans weren’t convinced with many accusing Nell of contriving her harrowing ordeal.

“I so reckon Nell is lying #Emmerdale,” hissed one viewer, as another agreed: “Hmm I think Nell is still A bit dodgy!”

Even after Emmerdale tweeted: “Oh Nell…we’re so sorry for the loss of your child,” this detective replied:  “Think it’s done on purpose cause Nell is lying.”

Regardless, many viewers commended actress Scarlett Archer for her performance, with one enthusing: “Nell is possibly the most mysterious and intriguing character in #Emmerdale at the moment! @SCARLETTARCHER is doing an amazing job.”

The latest drama comes after it was confirmed that Scarlett would be bowing out of Emmerdale over the coming weeks.

Emmerdale continues tomorrow night at 7pm on ITV.
