Emmerdale spoiler: Emma Barton to KILL Laurel Thomas before brutal exit in dark twist?

Emma (played by Gillian Kearney) has been caught confessing to killing James Barton (Bill Ward) after she hurled her husband off a bridge that landed onto the late Ashley Thomas’ (John Middleton) speeding car.

After the tragic incident, Emma paid a visit to the dementia sufferer and confused him to make sure he didn’t remember seeing her push James to his death, but their whole conversation was unwittingly caught on camera and found on a tape by Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clark).

In next week’s episodes of the ITV soap, Emma discovers what Arthur has seen and will begin to desperately hunt for the home video.

Whilst on a walk with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), Emma feigns an injury and rushes back to their house in search of the evidence.

But her chance to destroy the footage is soon blown as Laurel quickly returns and is taken aback by her behaviour which leaves Emma extremely worried and suspicious.

The twisted villager is no stranger to violence and could delve even deeper resulting in another death, killing off Laurel and Arthur to ensure the incriminating evidence is never found.

Later in the week, she becomes increasingly frustrated that the video still exists and pray’s to find a way to get rid of it.

She suddenly comes up win an idea of how to manipulate Arthur and beings to set her trap.

Laurel becomes worried for her young son’s bed-wetting and decides to seek advice from nurse Emma who soon takes advantage of the situation.

Will Laurel find out what Emma is up to? Will Arthur confide in his mother and tell her the truth? Will Emma wipe Laurel and Arthur out of the picture?

Actress Gillian is set to depart her role as Emma later this year in an explosive storyline, but will she take Laurel with her?

Emmerdale continues tomorrow on at 7pm.
