After not hearing from him, Ben (played by Harry Reid) gets a surprise when Luke (Adam Astill) arrives and asks if they can make another go at things.
However, it appears that Luke has an ulterior, and potentially deadly motive having made a shocking discovery last week.
Having cosied up to Ben, Luke got a nasty surprise when he finally met the Mitchell family.
Coming face-to-face with Ben’s mother, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), he quickly realised his harrowing connection to Ben’s family.
Fans of the BBC soap will remember that Luke’s dad, James Willmott-Brown (William Boyd), was jailed for raping Kathy in 1988.
The soap villain is back to exact revenge on the woman who he claims ruined his life when he was found guilty.
With the possibility of a blossoming romance at stake, will Luke ditch his dad’s evil plan in order to continue dating Ben?
The drama comes after it was announced that actor Harry will be leaving EastEnders before Christmas.
A TV insider said: “Fans of Ben and the Mitchell family will be shocked to see his departure from the soap.”
They added to the Sun: ”He will star in a big storyline before the end of the year and will be written out of the show as a result.”
A representative from the BBC confirmed the 25-year-old’s exit to Express.co.uk, adding: “We wish him all the best for the future.”
