EastEnders spoilers: Mick and Linda Carter saved by this VERY unlikely hero?

Friday night saw the pub landlord shut down Grafton Hill in true Mick (played by Danny Dyer) fashion, but he may live to regret it.

Walford’s stalwart couple will find themselves completely stuck as they try and find enough cash to keep their beloved pub.

However, they could be rescued by a very unlikely neighbour.

Jay Brown (Jamie Northwick) is set to sell the car lot after Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) dramatically handed The Arches over out of guilt for killing his father.

Luke Browning (Adam Astill) persuaded Jay to hand over the keys for a cool £200,000, but the Weyward’s plan to take over Albert Square may be about to crumble.

Fans have predicted that the young mechanic will use his new wealth to salvage both the Vic and Billy Mitchell’s (Perry Fenwick) flailing funeral home.

“Jay sells car lot. Gives carters money. Vics saved. Cushtyyyy,“ enthused one audience member, as another agreed: “#EastEnders 60k of Jay’s cash will end up in Mick’s back pocket. It’ll be used to pay Weyland. Calling it now.”

A third beamed: “It’d be great if the Carters borrowed the money from Jay & so paid Grafton Hill with their own money #EastEnders.”

“How funny would it be if Jay invested the money Luke gave him into the pub, so Grafton Hill have also been played #eastenders,” teased one more.

EastEnders continues Monday at 8pm on BBC One.
