EastEnders viewers have a fair few theory’s surrounding Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) exit last night. While everyone was celebrating the return of Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) who finally got bail for the murder of stalker and psychopath Leo King (Tom Wells), Kat received a worrying phone call causing her to up and leave Walford suddenly.
Explaining she had to go urgently, her boyfriend Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami), wasn’t impressed at the though of being left to look after her family while she runs her errands.
But the good-hearted market trader took on the responsibility amicably.
Kush is also dealing with problems in the aftermath of Leo’s death, after he had to plead guilty to GBH in order to save Whitney.
Fans will remember that Kush pushed Leo from the balcony of The Prince Albert after he stumbled upon him threatening Whitney.

He was hospitalised and Kush was arrested, much to the horror of the residents and fans sat at home.
But Kat sudden exit seems to have planted some serious suspicion that a fan-favourite might be making a return in coming months.
Taking to Twitter, they shared their thoughts for coming episodes.
“Convinced Kat has gone to see Stacey and they’ll return together in a few months #EastEnders,” one fan suggested.
Another queried: “So who is Kat off to see?? #EastEnders”
Following her heartbreak, Stacey disappeared, only returning briefly with her new man to get her things.
But will Kat’s return also bring Stacey with her?
Jessie Wallace’s exit from the BBC soap comes after reports she had supposedly been suspended from the soap.
BBC refused to comment at the time, but Express.co.uk has requested a followup, as well as reaching out to Jessie’s representatives.
Elsewhere in Albert Square, Sharon Mitchell (Leticia Dean) is struggling to cope with the death of her eldest son, Dennis Rickman (Bleu Landau).
Her grief has made it so she is unable to bond with her new baby Kayden, and her heartbreak forced her to make a tough decision in recent episodes.
The situation came to an emotional head last week when Sharon handed Kayden over to Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and begged her to raise her grandson.
But in last night’s episode, Sharon suffered a bout of illness after she stumbled upon Karen with Jayden in the market as she was on her way to dress Denny for his funeral.
Will Sharon realise that she’s made a huge mistake by giving away her new son?
EastEnders continues Tuesday on BBC One at 7.30pm.
