In tonight’s episode of EastEnders, Kat (played by Jessie Wallace) had a tense meeting with Hayley Slater (Kate Jarvis) in the cafe.
Kat is hiding a lot of secrets and it seems Hayley knows exactly what caused her to leave husband Alfie (Shane Richie) in Spain.
Hayley could be seen taunting Kat about her secret, insisting if she doesn’t get the money she is owed from Big Mo (Laila Morse), she’ll expose her.
Kat was far from impressed, reaching over the table and grabbing Hayley’s hair before warning her to leave Walford.
But Hayley refused and could be heard teasing Kat about Alfie – what does she know?
And, in the final moments of the episode, fans saw Kat’s phone light up with Alfie’s name appearing on the screen.
Holding a glass of gin, Kat looked very worried as she stared down at the device.
She eventually decided to avoid speaking to her partner and hung up.
In upcoming episodes, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) is set to push Kat into revealing what really happened.
Eventually Kat will agree to meet up with her kids.
And, while Stacey will be thrilled to see Kat making an effort to reconcile with her kids, the latter will still be hiding a huge secret.
With soap star Shane rumoured to be reprising his role as Alfie very soon, it comes as no surprise that the rumour mill has gone into overdrive.
Fans are now very excited to see the couple reunite on screen and find out what really happened between the pair.
Furthermore, an EastEnders told Metro: “It’s more of a case of when as opposed to if.
“There is unfinished business there.”
It seems fans won’t have to wait too long to find out Kat’s secret either.
Following tonight’s instalment, the BBC EastEnders Twitter account shared a teaser of what’s to come.
They told their 2.56 million followers: “Seeing Alfie’s name is driving Kat to drink. Uh Oh.
“The plot thickens… Don’t miss #EastEnders tomorrow from 8pm.”
