EastEnders spoilers: Jane delivers brutal blow to Ian as viewers beg bosses to do THIS

On Max Branning’s (played by Jake Wood) orders, she (Laurie Brett) told her spouse (Adam Woodyatt) they were “over” as he planned their getaway.

Sat on her hospital bed, Ian informed Jane of the Italian apartment he had organised however his dream soon came crashing down.

“Ian there’s something you need to know…” she tearfully started, but then the villain loomed and her tone changed. “I can’t forgive you.

“I’m done, I’ve had enough. I’m just exhausted by it all. You’re not listening. Why do you never listen? For both our sakes, it’s enough now. I’m sorry Ian, we’re over.”

It was revealed earlier in the week that Max had been told by James Willmott-Brown (William Boyde) that Ian had to stay in Walford, not Jane.

Upset viewers were quick to react, with two users writing: “This is so wrong. Max is pure evil. Poor Ian. #EastEnders,” and: “No Jane, don’t split up with Ian! #EastEnders.”

A third posted: “Such a heartbreaking storyline with Ian and Jane atm… Why can’t Max just do one and leave them alone! #EastEnders.”(sic)

However, others urged BBC bosses to end the storyline which has been running for months, with little known about motives.

“For goodness sake, now Ian and Jane have split. Why can’t she just rat Max out? This storyline is BEYOND THE JOKE now. #EastEnders,”(sic) a tweet read.

Someone else continued: “Even (!) Ian Beale’s not thick enough not to realise something’s ‘up’ with Jane. @bbceastenders #EastEnders.”(sic)

Others added: “Come on #eastenders wrap this bloody max thing up now. It’s boring,” and: “Well I’m a huge easties fan but this s**t with max is ridiculous, tell someone Jane #eastenders.”

EastEnders continues tomorrow at 8pm on BBC One.
