Ann will return to Walford to play the fearsome Cora, helping Denise Fox (played by Diane Parish) to find work.
New behind-the-scenes EastEnders snaps surfaced showing Cora filming with Denise; who has been out of work since the dramatic situation at the Minute Mart led to her walking out of her job.
It looks like Cora will come to her rescue, as upcoming scenes will see her signing on at the Job Centre.
When she doesn’t manage to find work, Denise then heads to an employment agency where she comes across the formidable character, The Sun have reported.
Cora left Albert Square back in 2015 when she was placed in sheltered housing following the traumatic period after the death of her lover Stan Carter (Timothy West).
Fans of the BBC soap will be keen to find out what happened to her after she disappeared from screens, and all will be revealed soon after Cora was spotted back in Walford once again.
Cora has two daughters, Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner) and Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks), both of whom have left the show since her departure.
She is also the grandmother to Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).
Lauren is currently going through her own dramatic plot as she met up with and kissed another man behind boyfriend Steven Beale’s (Aaron Sidwell) back.
