Don’t Rock the Boat viewers switch off as stars ‘puke’ in graphic ITV scenes

With Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff and AJ Odudu at the helm of the ITV show, two teams of celebrities went head to head take on an almighty challenge on the water. The likes of The Chase’s Shaun Wallace, former Labour deputy Tom Watson and Love Island’s Jack Fincham were tasked with rowing approximately 100 miles in order to beat their opposition. However, the graphic scenes of “puking and s*****g” led to some viewers turning off.

The extreme nature of the challenge soon caught up with the Don’t Rock the Boat stars with Craig Charles the first to exhibit its side effects.

The Red Dwarf star found himself vomiting within the first hour of the challenge, with the physical exertion also turning his stomach at the other end too.

Jodie Kidd quipped it was impressive Craig was “puking and s*****g” so soon but he wasn’t the only one who became overwhelmed with the challenge.

Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberly Wyatt also found herself puking over the side of the boat.

However, some other viewers enjoyed the gruelling scenes, praising the show for its unique competition.

“S******g and puking in front of people and the nation? Sign me up! #DontRockTheBoat,” commented one viewer.

A second agreed: “Can’t wait for the next episode #DontRockTheBoat.”

“Great first episode of #DontRockTheBoat #DRTB @ITV @joe_weller_ @flintoff11,” tweeted a third. “Looking forward to seeing the next one tomorrow and the week ahead.”

“Brilliant viewing. Really enjoyed it. #DontRockTheBoat,” said a fourth, while another added: “Totally OBSESSED with Don’t Rock the Boat! Somebody take me back to my rowing days! What an incredible challenge! Can’t wait for tomorrow! #DontRockTheBoat.

Fans will be able to tune in every night this week to see how the two teams fare in their rowing challenge.

But will the Red Team be able to pip the Blue Team to victory?

Don’t Rock the Boat continues Tuesday at 9:15pm on ITV.
