Deadpool 2: Is this proof HOPE SUMMERS will join her 'father' Cable?

Ryan Reynolds likes tease and taunt his fans as much as his rivals.

Numerous posts poking fun at the likes of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man have been mixed with tantalising clues and obscure hints for the upcoming Deadpool sequel.

Eagle-eyed fans have spotted that a possible Easter Egg from the first Deadpool 2 teaser trailer could link to a major clue in the recent first look at Josh Brolin as Cable.

Little is still known about the next Fox/Marvel superhero outing but many are hoping that these two facts point towards the first appearance on the big screen of Hope Summers.

As well as being Cable’s daughter, Hope is spectacularly powerful in her own right.

The mutant is Omega-level and teh vessel of teh Phoenix Force, which allows her to tarnsform matter. She can also mimic the full powers of any mutant near enough to her.

Strangely, for such a phenominally impressive warrior, the major clue about her return is a fluffy teddy bear in the first official image of Cable.

In the comicbooks Hope is from an alternate timeline where the mutant population has been decimated. Her birth is the catalyst for new mutants.

The cyborg Cable travels in time to save her. He finds her as a baby and acts as a father figure to her throughout the storylines.

Hence the teddy bear?

The second clue is rather more blatant.

The recent teaser promo for Deadpool 2 included a cryptic shot of a phone booth with the word ‘Hope’ scrawled on it.

Easily overlooked in all the initial excitement, more and more attention has returned to it.

With the latest reveal of Cabel and his teddy bear accessory hanging incongrously among all his waepons, it looks like the Deadpool 2 makes are trying to tell fans something.

Of course, the link between sneaky Easter Eggs and actual clues and teasers is rather fine in superhero films these days. Reynolds and his gang are sure to have more fun dragging out the suspense for a while yet.
