After being axed in 2013, it appears ITV are pulling out all the stops to make the rebooted figure-skating contest the best one yet as a major sportsman is set to take part.
It has been reported former England cricket Monty Panesar has signed up to join a bunch of brave celebrities for the revamped series.
The 35-year-old enjoyed a seven-year international career but made his last professional appearance in 2016 due to issues outside of the sport.
The spinner has previously been very open about his daily battle against mental illness and was named as a Professional Cricketers’ Association mental health ambassador.
Legendary skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will also be swapping their former role as mentors and choreographers to become head judges.
Other celebrities in the mix to join this year’s line-up include Loose Women’s Katie Price, Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown and Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent who plays Sophie Webster.
Dancing On Ice is expected to return in January 2018 to ITV.
