Dancing on Ice 2018: Antony Cotton SLAMS contestants at rehearsal: 'They're like dogs'

Antony slammed Jake Quickenden, 29, and Kem Cetinay, 21, in scenes aired on last night’s show.

The Coronation Street actor was filmed comparing the reality stars to “intelligent dogs” during week two of the figure skating competition.

During rehearsals a frustrated looking Antony could be seen bossing the two men around.

At one point, he shouted at the pair to get into formation in front of the celebrity contestants and their professional partners.

Axed Candice Brown, 33, even pointed out that the actor was “annoyed” while practicing with Jake and Kem.

While at rehearsals, Antony had suggested the two men were complicating the group dance with their goofy antics.

Speaking to camera, he said: “It should be relatively simple but it does of course feature Jake and Kem, who never shut up, ever! They can’t actually just stand still and never speak.”

Later, Antony was seen screaming at the pair to get into position in the ice rink.

However, he was not the only celebrity who seemed to be fed up with Jake and Kem as Stephanie Waring, 39, also suggested they could calm down a little.

The 39-year-old Hollyoaks star said: “I feel like they do need reining in sometimes.”

But the most shocking moment came when Antony likened Jake and Kem to dogs in a foul-mouthed rant.

Speaking about dancing with the two, the 42-year-old fumed: “It’s very similar to performing with children or quite intelligent dogs.”

Of course, his comments were all in jest as he later confessed to liking them both, saying: “They’re beautiful boys, you can’t be angry with them for long.”

Also during the episode, Antony admitted he was the bossy one of the group after being probed by Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby, 36, for telling off Jake and Kem.

The star, who has appeared in I’m A Celebrity Get Me… Out Of Here!, told Holly he was often the most grumpy one of the group.

He said: “I was the one telling them off. I’m quite bossy and grumpy.”

Dancing On Ice airs Sundays at 6pm on ITV.
