Dancing On Ice 2018: Antony Cotton hit with crushing blow ahead of double elimination

Each star will tackle two performances and for Antony Cotton it seems his time on could be over as he is favourite to be eliminated this week.

Bookmakers have slashed the star’s odds to win the competition to 50/1, which leaves him trailing in last place.

Meanwhile former singer Jake Quickenden is favourite to be crowned this year’s champion with his odds at just 1/2.

But with a double elimination this week, if Antony is booted off the show, he won’t be leaving alone and he could find himself packing his bags with co-star Brooke Vincent.

Bookies have priced the actress’ odds to win at 25/1 alongside Donna Air, who recently split from her beau James Middleton.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s double elimination special, Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “People are putting their money on Jake to skate his way to victory as if defeat is out of the question.

“He’s one of the shortest priced contestants we’ve ever seen at this stage of a celebrity TV programme.”

It comes after it was revealed that the show is primed to broadcast its first headbanger of the series tonight.

With the remaining couples desperate to remain in the competition, one will pull out all of the stops by attempting the infamous and most dangerous lift.

Furthermore, fans of the series will see Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean make a surprise announcement.

The skating legends are said to have planned something “very special” as the final looms.

The pairs haven’t stepped out from behind the judges’ desk and taken to the ice yet – could a shock performance be on the cards?

Meanwhile, Brooke Vincent has opened up about how it feels to be just one of two girls left in the competition.

“I want to do it for the girls,” she said. “I really do. I want to do it for the girls that aren’t the girly girls.

“I’m a normal girl, I don’t wear make up every day, I do look rough. I don’t put make up on to go to the gym, that’s not my thing.

“I want to do it for the girls that have left the competition – Perri, Steph, Candice and Cheryl.”

Dancing On Ice returns with a double elimination tonight at 6pm on ITV.
