David (played by Jack P. Shepherd) could be seen threatening Gary (Mikey North) – who is thought to be leaving the ITV soap – after he told him he’d “kissed” Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp) while dating Sarah (Tina O’Brien).
So, David will no doubt hit the roof when he eventually finds out that Gary did, in fact, have sex with Nicola; who is now pregnant with his child.
Last night’s scenes saw Gary insist: “Come on, I make one mistake…” as David said: “Sarah and Bethany, they’ve been through enough and I don’t want to be the one causing more grief over a snog.”
“Well thanks,” Gary then replied, as a clearly suspicious David asked: “As long as that’s all it was?”
An uncertain Gary then insisted: “Of course it was,” as David told him: “Right, well I’ll be keeping my eye on you from now on. Because if you hurt my sister Gary, I’ll hurt you.”
Viewers immediately took to Twitter to warn Gary that David would most likely follow through with his threat, with one person posting: “Oh Gary, you should know by now, you can’t lie to David Platt #Corrie.”
A second added: “‘If you hurt my sister, Gary. I’ll hurt you!’ — David Platt. @itvcorrie @JackPShepherd88,” alongside the devil emoji.
A third screamed: “David platt just threatened Gary HAHAHA WHAT.”
Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
