The Coronation Street businessman lashed out at Eva (played by Catherine Tyldesley) when she realised they had no future together.
Eva had previously revealed that Aidan (Shayne Ward) was the father of her unborn baby but he was unconvinced.
The Underworld boss asked whether the baby was his or Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson), with whom she had a quick fling last year.
Shocked by his reaction, Eva told Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) that she would hand over the child when it was born.
In tonight’s episode, Eva returned to the factory to tell Aidan the baby was not his and begged him not to tell anyone.
Aidan acted as though he was unsurprised and lashed out at the expectant mum.
Eva told him: “It’s not your problem. There’s not going to be any test Aidan.
“You were right, it’s not yours. It was about the money and stuff.
“You can’t blame me for wanting security for my child. Just promise me you won’t say anything and I’ll go.”
Aidan rudely replied: “So it’s Adam’s then? Unless you’ve got half a dozen baby daddies lined up as well?”
Fans of Coronation Street were outraged by his comments and hit out at the businessman on Twitter.
They were quick to point out that Aidan was not completely innocent himself, noting he had an affair with Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) behind Eva’s back.
“What is Aidan playing at treating Eva like that, she is sorry after all,” one viewer wrote.
Another added: “#CoronationStreet has everyone forgotten is was Aidan that cheated on Eva not the other way around so why they acting like it was her #Corrie.”
A third continued: “Does Aidan remember that he’s the one who cheated? #Corrie.”
“Aidan acting like the victim. Has he forgot all about how he cheated and lied and lied and lied to Eva…..?!!! #Corrie,” someone else wrote.
A fifth commented: “#CoronationStreet has everyone forgotten it was Aidan that cheated on Eva not the other way around so why they acting like it was her #Corrie.”
Later in tonight’s double bill, the ITV soap hinted at a tragic end for Aidan.
The Underworld boss sparked concern during an exchange with Kirk Sutherland.
