Fans of the ITV soap have been watching on in horror as groomer Nathan (played by Christopher Harper) has passed newly 17-year-old Bethany (Lucy Fallon) around his friends and even stubbed a cigarette out on her arm.
Bethany then took things to a whole new level during the latest instalment, with her ending up flirting with Peter (Chris Gascoyne) so he’d give her a cigarette.
The teenager asked: “You got any more of them?” before she proceeded to seductively stroke his arm.
However, an unimpressed Peter replied: “Yeah I have. I’ve got plenty thanks.”
Peter went on to insist: “Your nan would string me up!” as Bethany said: “Well, tough guy like you is not afraid of someone like Gail, surely?”
But a concerned Peter shared: “Yeah. He is. And more besides. Listen, Bethany. I think you need to go home, love. Go home.”
As per usual, viewers at home were left distraught over the shocking scenes, with one person posting on Twitter: “Oh Bethany what are you doing what has Nathan done to you @itvcorrie #Corrie,” alongside a crying emoji.
A second screamed: “Bethany is so damaged! #Corrie #CoronationStreet.”
“Bethany just trying it on with Peter Barlow for a ciggie just made me feel sick #coronationstreet,” a third yelped.
