Like red and black trim on your cars? Chevrolet has a special edition for you. Called the Redline series, Chevy is offering the accent package on several of its vehicles, starting with the Silverado.
All Redlines have black wheels with red hashmarks, black grilles, and black Bow-Tie crests. The namesplates are also black with red outlines. The rest of the package then depends on the vehicle, with the Silverado and Colorado getting red tow hooks and the Camaro receiving black hashmarks over the wheels.
The Redline series goes back to concept vehicles from the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and Chevy says positive feedback pushed it to make the package available for sale. Chevy has added several special-edition models in recent years to offer consumers more choices while raising transaction prices.
Chevy is billing this as its largest cross-portfolio special-edition series. Redline will be available on the Cruze LT, Malibu LT, Trax LT, Colorado LT, Camaro LT and SS, Silverado double cab LT Z71 and crew cab LTZ Z71, Equinox LT, and Traverse Premier. Chevy declined to provide pricing, but the Redlines will all be on sale by the end of 2017 after their introduction this week at the Chicago Auto Show.
