Bus crash in Germany: 17 people unaccounted for, over 30 injured, say Bavaria police

Thirty-one passengers are severely injured and 17 others remain missing after a tourist bus became engulfed in flames on a Bavarian highway, local police say. The massive traffic accident is likely to cause multiple fatalities, they added.

The bus, carrying 46 passengers and two drivers, caught fire after ramming into a semi-trailer in heavy traffic on the A9 highway near the Bavarian town of Muenchberg, local police said in a statement on Monday.
