The music mogul looked visibly uncomfortable when magician and comedian Matt Edwards made a play for the musician.
Simon, 57, rolled his eyes and immediately brushed off the Suffolk-born comic when he burst out with an “annoying” voice, and assured that he was “different” to any magician who’s impressed on the same stage before him.
While the father-of-one was clearly uninterested, Amanda Holden beamed: “I like the sound of that.”
Matt began: “Because I’ve only got a minute, I want to give this a big build up in the hopes that everyone claps really loud and the ladies take off all their bras and throw them in my face.”
He winked: “I’m looking at you Alesha,” which appeared to leave Simon fuming.
Thankfully, Matt turned his trick around with a hilarious routine which saw him fling himself around the stage like an equally excitable Lee Evans while magically pouring salt out of his hands from thin air.
Taking a drastic U-turn, Simon couldn’t believe Matt hadn’t already had his big break, while Ant and Dec were equally puddled as to why he wasn’t a huge star.
Also on tonight’s particularly eventful instalment of Britain’s Got Talent, Ant and Dec are forced remove a contestant who refuses to leave the stage.
What’s more, tears are bound to pour across the nation when Simon comforts leader of the Angelicus Choir, whose wife and co-founder of the group was killed in a car crash before ever seeing them perform.
Britain’s Got Talent airs tonight at 8pm on ITV.
