Britain’s Got Talent ‘cancelled’: ITV show ‘set to’ be taken off air this year

Last year’s season was affected by the pandemic as the live shows were postponed from their original date in May until October.

Although the auditions were filmed at the beginning of the year, the impact of COVID-19 on the UK by March meant the show had to halt proceedings.

This meant the 2020 instalment was split in two, with the casting for the live shows shown in their usual schedule spot in April.

Then in the Autumn, Amanda Holden, 49, Alesha Dixon, 42, and David Walliams, 49, were joined by Diversity dance troupe member Ashley Banjo, 32, to judge the finals.
