Brigitte Macron, 64, attended a memorial service for Lieutenant-Colonel Arnaud Beltrame in Paris today.
The French unofficial first lady joined husband Emmanuel Macron, 40, to honour the hero, who died offering himself as a hostage in a jihadist attack on March 23 in southwestern France.
Macron wore a thick black coat over a pair of skinny black jeans for the service.
Five large gold buttons could be seen glinting on the coat, which also had two leather straps at the waist to show off Brigitte’s shape.
She completed the look with a pair of block heel leather boots, worn under her jeans.
Keeping her hands warm in the bitter Parisian cold, Brigitte wore a pair of black leather gloves.
As always, her hair was impeccably blowdried, and she wore heavy eye-makeup.
Arriving at the ceremony, held at the Hotel des Invalides, Brigitte held on tightly to a security officer.
