Girl From The North Country, the soundtrack for which is in the Top 20 in the Official Album Chart midweeks, will head into central London’s theatreland from December 29.
Conor McPherson’s production will play at the Noel Coward Theatre for a limited run of 12 weeks only.
Five star reviews were accrued from the likes of the Sunday Express, Guardian, Independent and Observer when the show debuted earlier in the summer, with the likes of Shirley Henderson and Ciaran Hinds in the cast.
“Working with this stunning cast and the incredible music of Bob Dylan at The Old Vic has been an amazing pleasure and privilege,” McPherson said today.
“I’m delighted that audiences will continue to have the opportunity to enjoy our show as we move into the West End.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has brought Girl From The North Country to life and I look forward hugely to our next steps in this intriguing journey.”
Casting for the transfer is yet to be confirmed.
For now, the show concludes its tenure at the Old Vic Theatre this coming Saturday, October 7.
One particular moment in the show that has proven exceptionally popular has been the performance of Tight Connection To My Heart by rising star Sheila Atim.
A video of the performance has amassed over 88,000 plays on YouTube.
Tickets for Girl From The North Country’s West End shows will be on sale from 2pm today.
