The weather presenter also set temperatures rising herself as she delivered the morning forecast in a skintight green frock on BBC Breakfast.

Yesterday, was the warmest day of the year so far but today will be even hotter as temperatures climb up towards 30 degrees celsius.

Carol, 54, told viewers it’s going to be hot across the UK and locally in north west Scotland, temperatures will hit 28 degrees celsius.

Down towards the north of England and Northern Ireland, there are high temperatures and coming south through Wales, The Midlands, South West and South East there will be lots of sunshine with temperatures reaching 28 degrees celsius.

She told viewers that anyone visiting the Chelsea Flower show in the next couple of days can expect it to be dry and sunny.

Looking towards this evening, Carol said there will hardly be a breath of wind and it’s not going to be a cold night.

Tomorrow, it will be a warm start with temperatures rising very quickly in the sunshine and later in the day there might be a bit of cloud.

Temperature wise, it will reach 29 degrees celsius in the north of Scotland and further south, temperatures will be way up into the 20s.

Those soaking up the sun should make sure to protect themselves as the sun is very strong with UV levels extremely high in the south.

Another said: “Good morning. Always lovely to see your smiling face in the morning. Makes a 0530 start bearable. Xx.”
