BBC Breakfast: Dan Walker admits he’s BANNED from wearing shirt by BBC boss

This morning saw Carol introduce Jamie Wyver from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds onto her forecast.

Jamie attended BBC Breakfast to discuss the uptick in certain local wildlife birds throughout Spring.

The passionate RSPB employee was dressed for the occasion in a bird themed shirt for his segment on the show.

However Dan clocked Jamie’s shirt and was quick to point out he also owned it.

“Dan noticed the shirt!” Louise Minchin exclaimed. “Dan thinks Jamie copied him.”

Carol sprang to the defence of her guest instantly, saying: “I think Dan copied Jamie!”

Laughing, Dan added: “I think you’ll find, Jamie, that I wore that shirt last year.

“You’re so last year Jamie.”

“Sorry,” Carol continued. “He’s very rude.”

Back in the studio, Dan revealed: “I think that’s one of the shirts that our boss has banned me from wearing.”

Later on Twitter Dan posted a photo of himself in the shirt.

He captioned it: “@carolkirkwood here you go. January 2017 I was rocking the birds #SoLastYear.”

Dan has had a tough week, as he was shut down by Louise live on air.

He offered her tea from the Sport Relief trophy, which he spent the show accidentally dropping.

She bluntly replied: “Um, no. I’d prefer something bubbly in there,” Louise laughed.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
