Avengers 4: Did you spot [SPOILER]'s cameo in Ant-Man and the Wasp?

WARNING SPOILERS FOR ANT-MAN AND THE WASP AHEAD

While last year saw rumours of Hawkeye appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but director Peyton Reed branded this as fake news.

Yes Ant-Man and the Wasp is very much a self-contained solo movie, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a connection to Avengers Infinity War.

In fact the film is set just before the events of the epic and the mid-credits scene appears to reveal Thanos himself.

The scene in question sees Ant-Man in the Quantum Realm trying to harvest quantum energy, while Hank, Hope and Janet are in contact from regularly sized reality back on Earth.

While Scott collects Quantum Dust in the Quantum Realm Hank counts down, but stops at three.

Ant-Man gets no answer as another shot shows that the Pym family has disintegrated and Scott ends up screaming through the head set, getting no answer.

Thanos’ face can be seen smiling in the clouds of the Quantum Realm behind him.

This would explain Tony Stark’s grey hair in Avengers 4 set photos, casting rumours of an older Cassie and presumably time travel will be used to fight Thanos going forward.

Hopefully more hints will be revealed in Captain Marvel next March.

Avengers 4 is released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
