ARK Survival Evolved PS4 and Xbox One UPDATE: Wildcard's big new download revealed

ARK Survival Evolved PS4 and Xbox One updates arrive nearly every month, bringing with them new dinos and content to build on The Island.

Studio Wildcard recently launched their latest build, adding four new dinos and a bunch of new TEK gear for fans to use after reaching the endgame.

However, Wildcard have followed up their most recent console launch with another big download for ARK Survival Evolved on PS4 and Xbox One.

But for those wondering, it doesn’t include any exciting new content. Instead, this latest patch looks to change a lot of things connected to the UI.

There is something much bigger on the horizon, though, with the development team recently confirming that their set to make volcano’s active.

This could mean some big disruptions for those who have bases in their area, new warning zones have been added to the PC version so that everyone knows where the affected areas will be.

The new Volcano changes will be part of a soon-to-be-released patch on PC near the start of May, followed by a on PS4 and Xbox One likely later in the month.

“PC update v257 has been pushed back a few days with a new ETA of May 3rd. In combination with the patch needing more time in the oven, we want to give players time to move their bases out of the volcano area,” a message from Studio Wildcard explains.

“Console players take note too, as this change will eventually come to you as well.

“In the next PC update, the volcano will be receiving an active remodelling which will consume anything in the vicinity.

“A client-side patch pushed out earlier today now includes these borders in your game so you can see the affected area. You are HIGHLY recommended to move out of the area before the v257 patch goes live.”
