
“It’s been valued twice. Once for probate and then once by another jewellery expert – two wildly different valuations.
“The highest price was £3,500 and the lowest price was £150,” the guest explained before Joanna gave her own valuation.
“It’s within the region of the 19th Century and the value of it at auction – you’d be looking in the region of £2,000-£3,000.”
This wasn’t any more than a previous valuation, but the jewellery specialist then issued her warning as she told the guest: “So not £150 but enjoy wearing it but maybe not with a shoelace.”
