- Andrew McCabe, the former deputy FBI director who was fired on March 16, is bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations for his legal defense fund.
- A GoFundMe page started on behalf of McCabe on Thursday soared past $ 350,000 by early Friday morning, nearly 12 hours after it launched. The fundraiser’s original goal was $ 150,000.
- McCabe was fired on accusations that he improperly gave information to the media during a 2016 investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails and then misled investigators about it. McCabe denies any wrongdoing.
