Cruise ships regularly face tough weather conditions and storms.
However, this also means that they are built to withstand any strong attacks against the vessels.
Yet one video shows a cruise liner coming up against a thunderstorm and not coming out well at the end.
Filmed in Genova, it is a terrifying watch.
The Croisières de France cruise liner was caught on camera being struck by a terrifying lightning bolt.
It ends up hitting the top of the ship’s funnel, causing a huge flame to engulf it.
A large plume of black smoke then bursts from the top of the ship.
Thankfully, it sees to subside and the ship makes it out okay.
The viral video, filmed in 2015, has since had over 44,000 views on Youtube.
Users were impressed by the huge hit.
One wrote: “Well that’s umm… one way to start the engines.”
Others found it funnier, stating: “That funnel took massive ordinance from Zeus.”
