A terrifying video of a hot air balloon accident has appeared online – showing the risks of the unusual form of aviation.
One balloon taking off in the video doesn’t get enough high to clear another, and one passenger can be seen dropping from the basket onto the floor.
The basket along with the burning flame keeping the balloon up hits the canvas of the other balloon.
However, the first balloon then manages to get enough height, and it glides over the second balloon, which is still on he ground, and flies away.
Children can be heard cheering, however, this is just the beginning of the problems for the ballon on the ground.
The second ballon is lifted off the ground before a strong wind knocks it down, causing the basket to hit the ground.
The basket is dragged along the ground as spectators scream.
“He’s hanging out,” one man can be heard shouting, “he’s hanging out – did he fall?”
The balloon hits the ground again the passenger falls from the side of the basket and rolls away.
The fall leaves people questing whether anyone is in the balloon, hoping the man who fell out of the balloon was not the one in charge of it.
However, it soon appears that he is. The crowd is worried that there may be children alone in the basket.
According to Mashable UK, two people were still inside the balloon who were not trained to fly it.
Thankfully the balloon soon goes down in a field, hidden by trees – and the two passengers were safe.
The video was filmed in Chatsworth, Illinois, on Thursday during a Sesquicentennial Heritage Days event.
