  • After he skated, a reporter from NBC asked him what goes through his mind when he’s on the ice. 
  • “I want to go over to the judges and say, can I just have a Xanax and a quick drink?” Rippon responded.

Adam Rippon made his Olympic debut on Monday when he performed in the figure skating team event — and the 28-year-old did not disappoint. Rippon was hailed as “spellbinding” and “magnificent” by NBC analyst Johnny Weir. Fellow NBC analyst Tara Lipinski said she had chills at the end of the program.

But Rippon’s performance isn’t the only thing that has fans buzzing.
