45 dead as bus falls into gorge in northern India

At least 45 people were killed after a bus they were traveling in fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand state in northern India, police confirmed to local media. The incident took place early in the morning when the driver reportedly lost control of the 28-seat vehicle on the Pipli-Bhaun Road. Twenty bodies are said to have been retrieved from the 60-meter gorge so far.
