Charcoal face masks have been proving more pain than they’re worth.
Many beauty enthusiasts recommended applying just a small patch on small areas of the face, such as the nose.
But American vlogger Nicole had other ideas.
Wearing a skin-tight crop top and mini shorts, she smothered her body in a thick, charcoal blackhead mask, applying the mixture head to toe – but decided to leave her face clear.
She started by smearing the shiny black substance on her arms, before moving to her stomach and legs.
She used four bottles of the peel to coat her body and even used a hairdryer to speed up the process.
After she finished, she said: “You can see it pulls any time I move.
“My skin is red and it kills, it hurts.”
Two hours later she began peeling the hardened mask off her shoulders revealing “super red” skin.
As she carried on getting the rest of it off her body she explained it pulled on “every one of her hairs” and said it felt like she was being “scratched by 10,000 cats”.
While Nicole was left teary-eyed, she admitted at the end her skin felt “super smooth”.
Another vlogger also regretted giving the charcoal face mask trend a go.
