This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby welcomed the actor onto the show today to chat about what’s next for Succession and his career. But as the interview came to an end, Brian addressed Phillip praising him for coming out to the public.
After their interview with Brian came to an end, the actor reached out to Phillip before he could move onto the next segment.
“And by the way, well done,” he said.
Phillip seemed visibly moved by Brian’s remark as he replied: “Oh, thank you Brian.”
“Really, really well done,” Brian continued. “I was really proud of what you did.
“I thought that was a remarkable thing. And, really, that’s something.”

“I’ve had to deal with this in my head for quite some time and so we’ve gone through this together.”
He added: “We’ve been honest and we’ve been open and Steph, as I’ve said, I can’t write in any statement what I feel about that woman.
“She is amazing. She is incredible. I never, in my life, there is no one in my life who would have supported me the way, as a wife, she has supported me. She’s astonishing, literally astonishing.”
Holly was on hand to support her friend with Phillip revealing how she had been so “kind and wise” to him as he thought about revealing his sexuality.
“My friends are the best, especially Holly, who has been so kind and wise – and who has hugged me as I sobbed on her shoulder,” he said.
At the end of the chat, Phillip added: “I couldn’t have done it if it hadn’t been you.”
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.
