Xbox Games with Gold May 2018 update: LAST CHANCE for The Witness, Dead Space 2

Xbox Games with Gold free titles are about to be released for May 2018.

Starting from May 1, Xbox Gold subscribers can pick up Super Mega Baseball 2 on and the Streets of Rage trilogy on Xbox 360.

This will be followed by Xbox One blockbuster Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain from May 16 until midnight on June 15.

Xbox 360’s second offering comes in the form of critically-acclaimed cover shooter Vanquish, which will be available from May 16 until the end of the month.

Thanks to Backwards Compatibility, the new Xbox 360 releases will be playable on Xbox One.

Of course, this means there’s only one day left to grab the current crop of Xbox Games with Gold releases.

This includes The Witness on Xbox One and Dead Space 2 on Xbox 360.

“Ushering in a new era for the franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, MGSV: The Phantom Pain, will provide players a first-rate gaming experience as they are offered tactical freedom to carry out open-world missions,” reads the official Metal Gear 5 description.

“Nine years after the events of MGSV: GROUND ZEROES and the fall of Mother Base, Snake a.k.a. Big Boss, awakens from a nine year coma.

“The year is 1984. The Cold War serves as the backdrop as nuclear weapons continue to shape a global crisis. Driven by revenge, Snake establishes a new private army and returns to the battlefield in pursuit of the shadow group, XOF.”

Super Mega Baseball 2, meanwhile, is getting the Games the Gold treatment on its first day on sale.

“The critically acclaimed Super Mega Baseball series is back with gorgeous new visuals, deep team and league customization, and long-awaited online multiplayer modes,” reads the official description.

“Accessible mechanics. Deep skill curve. Visceral pacing. Light-hearted vibe. Serious simulation.”
