X Factor 2018 line-up: Louis Walsh to LEAVE judging role? Former star wants him REPLACED

Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly been dropped from The X Factor after serving on the judging panel for 13 years.

However, with the line-up not yet confirmed, will she be the only change made by Simon Cowell?

Louis, 65, is one of the real stalwarts of the ITV talent show and is almost synonymous with it.

But according to Stacey Solomon, who took part in the competition in 2009, thinks now is his time to leave.

She recently explained how she wanted to see a superstar line-up when The X Factor returns later this year.

The 28-year-old wrote: “Have you ever watched The Voice USA?

“They have mega-stars like Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, and Usher on the panel.

“Alicia Keys is there dishing out advice, for goodness sake! It’s amazing,” Stacey gushed in her column for The Sun’s Fabulous.

The Loose Women regular added: “Simon Cowell needs to get on the phone to his showbiz mates, because imagine if The X Factor had judges like that?

“It would be so cool.”

Stacey went on: “Don’t get me wrong, I love Louis Walsh.

“He always has the best gossip and never takes himself too seriously.

“But he’s almost become the show mascot,” she admitted.

The blonde bombshell revealed her dream line-up would consist of Simon, Cheryl, Craig David and Beyoncé.

However, it seems Louis is safe for now, after previously responding to axe rumours.

He told The Sun: “My contract is watertight. I’ve checked it out with someone and have told Simon that.

“He has asked me to come and see him in LA. I have spoken to Sharon. She’s said they can only sack us if they pay us.”

However, should Louis’ circumstances change, it seems Olly Murs from The Voice would be more than keen to fill his boots.

The popstar admitted he would love to work alongside Simon in the future.

The X Factor will return to ITV later this year.
