Dubbed “the worst gameshow player ever”, viewers were left shocked after contestant Kevin failed to take home the entire prize fund thanks to just one remaining letter.
Asked to fill in the one remaining blank space after accumulating $ 1,600, Kevin gave away an “obvious” answer, leaving the audience gasping.
The on-screen clue read: “A Streetcar Nam_d Desire”, to which he believed the missing letter was a “K” for naked.
One viewer tweeted: “Dude on Wheel of Fortune just thought the play was called ‘A Streetcar Naked Desire.’ This is the highlight of my sick day.”
“Hey, Wheel of Fortune contestant who just tried to fill in A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE with a K, DM me – I’ll buy you a beer or 20,” posted another.
A third wrote: “Dude on Wheel of Fortune had to solve this: A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE. He asked for a K. I’m gonna go lie down.”
“This guy on wheel of fortune just guessed ‘A Streetcar Naked Desire’ I’m so done,” said a fourth.
The comments didn’t stop there, with some even hoping to achieve their own viral fame with a wrong answer.
One viewer tweeted: “I’d like to go on Wheel of Fortune, but I’d be the idiot that misses the easiest puzzle and goes viral for the wrong reason.”
