During a trip to Cuba, hosts Rory and Chris decided to “do as the Cubans do” and follow the law that if they are driving a state car, they must pick up hitchhikers.
However, the plan went wrong for Rory as he found himself attacked by a chicken that one of his passengers had brought along for the ride.
As the chicken sat in the front seat, it became inquisitive of the 37-year-old journalist and pecked at his arm, much to Rory’s horror.
Viewers were left in hysterics as the chicken “attacked” Rory, he was left screaming: “No, no, dude, no… He’s got a chicken!”
But it was his co-host Chris Harris that had the last laugh when the show returned to the studio.
After Rory gloated over beating Chris in a drag race, the latter snapped back: “Well at least I didn’t get mauled by a cock!”
One Top Gear fan took to Twitter to comment on the hilarious scene, saying: “I never thought I’d see a man get harassed by a chicken on #TopGear. Viva La Cuba!”
Another added: “@MrRoryReid dude it is only a chicken #TopGear.”
A third noted that Chris’s joke came at a risqué time: “mauled by a cock FAMILY SHOW #TopGear.”
