WATCH: Melania Trump takes a tumble on the White House lawn – but Donald saves the day

Melania Trump, 47, the wife of Donald Trump, 71, fell over on the White House lawn in this video footage – and we bet even she would see the funny side.

In the video, the well dressed First Lady struts across the famous lawn in Washington DC with her hands in her pockets.

The pair are heading towards a green helicopter parked a short distance away on the grass.

Melania, a gorgeous former model, looks confident in front of the cameras, as if she were appearing on a runway.

She is perfectly graceful as she walks beside husband Donald, her perfect blow dry bouncing in the breeze.

However, things soon take a turn for the worse after Donald reaches out to place a hand on his wife’s back.

Suddenly, she tumbles over in front of the helicopter, losing her footing as she falls away from her husband.

Donald grasped the opportunity to tighten his hold around his wife’s waist, in a rare show of affection between the two.

She even returned the gesture by putting her own hand on Donald’s back, before removing it four seconds later.

It is unclear whether it was the uneven texture of the lawn or something else which caused the First Lady to take a fall.

However, Melania’s choice of four inch high chunky heeled Gianvito Rossi boots probably did not help.

Melania also wore a navy Chloe coat with knit sleeves and a large funnel neckline for the appearance.

The belt was tied casually around the First Lady’s waist, and she wore 70s style dark shades.

The couple looked relaxed, and the President pulled his wife in for a close hug as they walked together.

Melania and Donald have been hit by news that Stormy Daniels, who claims to have had an affair with the President, which he denies, will star in a 60 Minutes interview airing on 25 March.

A source told Hollywood life: “Melania is bracing herself for what’s to come out during the 60 minutes special, and is prepared for some pretty humiliating and embarrassing revelations to come out.”
