However, the driver was sent skidding into traffic coming in the opposite direction.
He smashed into the front of a huge lorry, and the car appears to be almost obliterated thanks to a cloud of smoke and dust.
However, the dust quickly cleared and viewers can see the smashed up body of the car spinned the towards the camera, assumed to be a dashboard camera in another car.
Viewers might assume that anyone involved in a car crash at this speed would have fatal injuries.
The roof of the car had totally caved in and the bonnet was ripped lose.
