Twitter DOWN – Micro blogging site not working for THOUSANDS of users

Twitter is down right now for thousands of users who have reported issues with the micro-blogging site today.

Independent website Down Detector has registered thousands of reports of Twitter down this evening.

Around 40 per cent of reported issues surround the Twitter website, with almost 60 per cent of issues occurring in the iPad and Android apps.

Down Detector is an independent website which tracks global outages by monitoring social mentions around specific topics.

The website’s outage map has recorded reports of Twitter down in the UK and large parts of Europe today.
